The IMCL2018 conference will take place at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario (http://www.mcmaster.ca), with most events taking place at the MDCL (Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Learning and Discovery) building.
Hamilton is the 3rd biggest city in Ontario, Canada with a population of over 500,000. Located at the west end of the Niagara peninsula, Hamilton wraps the west part of lake Ontario and is surrounded by the Niagara Escarpment geological formation which provides abundant green areas and easy access to several waterfalls. Hamilton is conveniently settled almost halfway between Toronto and the Niagara Falls, being approximately one hour drive from each. Day trips to both these outstanding places are a must for anyone visiting the region for the first time.

Hamilton has an airport, John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, but with limited connectivity to cities outside Canada: http://flyhamilton.ca/.
The best option is the Toronto Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Ontario (YYZ). The airport is about 45-60 minutes drive (65 km) away: https://www.torontopearson.com/

There are several ways to get to Hamilton from Toronto’s International Airport (YYZ). The ones we suggest are:
These are regulated and have a fixed price for trips to Hamilton:
On top of these a gratuity of 10-15% is customary. Price is per trip, regardless of passengers. Please ask the driver for the price before boarding, to be sure. The difference between the two is the size and age of the vehicle with Limousines being better. For more info and where to pick-them up at the airport follow: https://www.torontopearson.com/en/toandfrom/taxilimo/#.
There is regular bus service between the airport and Hamilton. The busses are coach-style equipped with racks for luggage. The cost is $11.65 per person.
You need to take bus route number 40. Busses depart only from Terminal 1: https://www.torontopearson.com/en/toandfrom/public/#
If you land in Terminal 3 you will have to take the connecting train to Terminal 1 (follow the signs). Busses are every 30 on the 05´ and 35´ between 05:35 and 19:35 and every 60 minutes from 19:35 to 05:35. Tell your driver which hotel you are going to and he/she should be able to drop you very close to it (at most one block away)
